On the highly anticipated 30 June Mabahambe Day initiated by Nkosinathi Ndabandaba and supported by Jecinta Ngobese Zuma, South African citizens and political parties took a powerful, unified stand to reclaim their communities.
Led by Patriot President Thabile Sibeko of the Izwe Nathi party, disciplined Germiston residents flooded the streets in a peaceful protest, demanding an immediate end to local lawlessness and the removal of illegal immigrants.
Accompanied by the South African Police Service (SAPS), the patriotic demonstrators marched directly to a local building flagged by residents as a hub for illegal foreign national activity.
Following strategic negotiations with authorities, President Sibeko, community leaders, SAPS, and the media successfully secured entry into the building to validate the community’s serious concerns. While the few individuals found inside were verified as South African citizens, a complete sweep of the criminal element was hindered because the majority of the flats were abruptly locked and abandoned. Nevertheless, the mobilization sent an unyielding message: united South Africans are , organized, and will no longer tolerate the occupation of their neighborhoods by lawless elements.
